Attached images not being displayed in Microsoft Outlook Emails

As we all know that outlook is developed by the Microsoft Corporation and nowadays it is a very popular email client. While using the Outlook you come across a common issue of images, which is not displayed in the reading pane. The images can be the attached pictures or icons which does not show in your Outlook. Sometimes pictures can be important to grab the details of any information. So here, I am going to talk what to do when those Attached Images not being displayed in Microsoft Outlook Emails.

There are some methods to make the images displayed in MS Outlook. Follow the below steps of all the methods if images are not showing in outlook.

Method 1: Automatic Download Technique

In Outlook 2007

Step 1: First open the Outlook 2007 then click on Tools.

Step 2: Go to Trust Centre. A popup window will appear on the screen.

Step 3: Here you need to click on Automatic Download on that dialog box.

Step 4: Now uncheck the option “Don’t download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items”.

Step 5: Click on the OK button. That’s it.

In Outlook 2010/2013/2016

Step 1: Open your Outlook and then click on File Menu option in the left upper corner side.

Step 2: After that click on Options then go the Trust Centre.

Step 3: Under Microsoft Outlook Trust Center, hit on Trust Center Settings.

Step 4: Once you did just uncheck the “Don’t download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items” option.

The above steps make changes for all the emails or pictures of the Outlook. If this method doesn’t work then you can also follow the below two methods.

Method 2: Direct Process

Open the email where image is not visible. Keep the pointer on the sign with red X. Right-click on that and then hit on Download Pictures option. As you click on it, the image will get displayed.

It makes the all images visible for that particular email only.

Method 3: Uncheck Pictures Placeholders

In Outlook 2007

Step 1: Launch the Outlook>> go to the New option to open the new message window.

Step 2: Now click on Microsoft Office icon and then hit on Editor Option in the lower right corner. A dialog box will appear.

Step 3: Click on Advanced option. In Display email content heading, you will the option “Show pictures placeholders”. Uncheck this option –>OK.

In Outlook 2010/2013/2016

Step 1: Firstly open the Microsoft Outlook go to New Email then –> File section in the menu bar–>Options.

Step 2: Once the Options window will open you need to hit on Editor Option in the Mail segment.

Step 3: When you did go the Advanced and uncheck the option “Show pictures placeholders” checkbox.
